Yep. Welcome to my new hell. The old one looks pretty nice from here :(

I'm dying of boredom. There's only so much you can do to appear busy until you just give up. I've come to the realization that, for now, I'm getting paid to do nothing. It sounds good, but it's not. I'm talking, literally, nothing. I've been reading the FDA website for past warning letters and going through the company intranet pages just to have something to keep my mind occupied. I don't know how the others do it. There's so many of us, and so little work. All the work is crammed into the last week of the month. I could stay home 3 weeks a month and get as much done in a month as I do being here every day.

Blargh.

With you there on going crazy for lack of work. I'd never be able to just sit around and do nothing all day.

The proportion of grey in my hair has almost doubled in the past 30 days. If the newbie taking my old job wasn't starting today, I'd be begging my old manager for my job back tonight when we go to dinner.

Good news is: big pharma got back to me last night. According to the email I received yesterday evening, the candidate pool was bigger than they expected and they're wrapping up phone screens this week. They thanked me for my patience with them and they're still "highly interested" in me. They should have some updates by the end of the week. *fingers crossed*

I'm trying to create a form in Word 2003. Is there any way to be able to lock it so only the first page is the form and then the following pages are free-text? Or does the whole thing have to be a form?

Basically, page one is all the info that needs to be completed regarding a study. I've set up drop down menus for personnel titles that change and things of that sort. Page(s) 2+ would be any findings that need correcting. I'm using a table for the findings. I want to make it so the user can add rows to the table for additional findings.

Does any of that make sense and can anyone help me?

Here's a first: I apparently managed to stab myself in the forehead with something last night - enough to cause a noticeable scab. I'm going to assume fingernail? :|

They called Friday and want me to come out for an in-person interview either the first or second week of May. DUDE.

Apparently several. If I fly American Airlines, though, it looks like the layover would be in Chicago. Either 50 min or 1h 55 min, though, so no real time to meet :(

Ok, so I'm NOT going to Seattle. Yet. Apparently HR woman was misinformed. I AM, however, going to California. That's where HQ is. If they like me at that interview, then I get to go to Seattle.

I'm hoping to become quite the traveler for the next couple months.
