Good win for the Canucks. Everyone looked good except for a certain goalie who shall remain Roberto Luongo.

Ovechkin did his part with 2 goals, but when Vancouver chases your number 1 goalie (Vokoun) after the first period, you know you're in trouble (though Neuvirth ended up taking the loss).
All in all a good game. I'm still thinking Luongo's days in Vancouver are numbered. If one was to ask me, I'd say find someone to trade him to and do everything you can to get Turco in to back up Schneider. Turco has already publicly stated he doesn't care where he plays and would actually welcome the opportunity to back up and mentor a young goalie. It sounds like a perfect situation for the Canucks if they can lose Luongo.

Minnesota? Backstrom can't seem to catch a break.

Well he'd probably be under less pressure to perform there. Actually that's probably true most anywhere he could go.

Biggest rumour is somewhere in Florida, either the Panthers or Lightning. His wife live in Florida (and he does in the off season) and the talk is he'd be more willing to go to that area than anywhere else. At the end of this season his contract has a clause that allows him an out (the team has the same clause at 7 years).
Luongo is a good goalie, great even, but his time in Vancouver seems like it's almost broken him. If the Canucks have the option between him and Schneider, I'd have to go with the young goalie that came up through their system.

Vancouvr played like ass against Edmonton, Chicago, Detroit, Colorado and Nashville and still picked up 9 of a possible 10 points.
Then they walked into Minnesota and absolutely murdered the Wild.
They have spent the last few games saying, "Yes, we can hit and fight, will you all fuck off now please"

I didn't realize how busy and caught up in everything I've been until yesterday when I said "wtf? Playoffs already?". I was sad when I realized that I had only seen maybe four games this season. :sigh:

I'm pretty sure going to bed at 9pm almost every night probably hasn't helped much either.
