You should be careful what you write. You never know when a future employer might read it.
When did we forget our dreams?
The infinite possibilities each day holds should stagger the mind. The sheer number of experiences I could have is uncountable, breathtaking, and I'm sitting here refreshing my inbox. We live trapped in loops, reliving a few days over and over, and we envision only a handful of paths laid out ahead of us. We see the same things each day, we respond the same way, we think the same thoughts, each day a slight variation on the last, every moment smoothly following the gentle curves of societal norms. We act like if we just get through today, tomorrow our dreams will come back to us.
And no, I don't have all the answers. I don't know how to jolt myself into seeing what each moment could become. But I do know one thing: the solution doesn't involve watering down my every little idea and creative impulse for the sake of some day easing my fit into a mold. It doesn't involve tempering my life to better fit someone's expectations. It doesn't involve constantly holding back for fear of shaking things up.

( just grow up, kid. )
I was told when I grew up I could be anything I wanted: a fireman, a policeman, a doctor — even president, it seemed. And for the first time in the history of mankind, something new, called an astronaut. But like so many kids brought up on a steady diet of westerns, I always wanted to be the avenging cowboy hero — that lone voice in the wilderness, fighting corruption and evil wherever I found it, and standing for freedom, truth, and justice. And in my heart of hearts I still track the remnants of that dream wherever I go, in my endless ride into the setting sun.

In all those things which deal with people, be liberal, be human. In all those things which deal with people's money, or their economy, or their form of government, be conservative.

If anyone was wondering, Israel still doesn’t care what you think.
Since the election of a government containing the political wing of the terrorist group Hamas in 2007, Israel has put the entire territory and its population of 1.5 million on a “diet“. This diet has led to a humanitarian crisis … Continue reading
All aboard with failure this good
The meme against Obama by those who are of the mindset to be against him & his policies is already set in stone, and it is to repeat what have you done for me lately as often as possible, while … Continue reading
Violent bigotry strikes again
In today’s issue: Violent bigotry in Israel that doesn’t have to do with Palestinians, the fears of old people, and there’s a tad more ice in the Northwest Passage this year. —– In an incident that is being described as … Continue reading
The birthers? How much further can a party fall? (QH: 27 July 2009)
The upcoming celebration of the 50th year since Hawaii was admitted to the union might just have some political fireworks – the remarkably useless, pointless, idiotic, and nonsensical kind. To combat a rather strange charge in the minds of those … Continue reading
Israel v. Gaza, and those caught in the middle
Anything I wanted to write about the current conflict is blown away by the following. The video is from Israel’s Channel 10. The man on the other end of this call is a doctor in Gaza who has called the … Continue reading
So the point of all of that was…?
This is the fourth and hopefully the last time I write about Israel bombing Lebanon if not for the rest of this year, at least for a few months. As you have undoubtedly heard by now, Israel and Hezbollah are … Continue reading
Explaining madness, coming up short
The dog days of August are upon us all, from the weather perspective to the international politics perspective. The Mideast continues to light up as days turned to weeks and will soon turn into months in the 2006 edition of … Continue reading
Why do we support who we support?
A week since my last posting and thankfully the world has not yet descended into a state of madness – we’re still stuck in “stupidity”. Israel and Lebanon continue to trade shots at each other in the United Nations, on … Continue reading
The Butterfly Effect Comes Home
The Butterfly Effect, another way of saying the term “chaos theory” states that the flapping of a butterfly’s wings in South America could eventually add strength to a typhoon in the Far East – or in other words, no action … Continue reading
What happens when you get what you want?
Freedom is on the march. Freedom, freedom, freedom. It has been deemed from on high that all people in all lands should be free, and by free I mean they must all have a representative form of government, and they … Continue reading
